What Is ECG Test ? How They Test This ?
Is it related to heart?Please explain. Presently, i have to undergo an operation for HALLUX VALGUS correction. Doctor asked to get it done this ECG test.

Hi,
An ECG, or electrocardiogram, is a heart test commonly carried out prior to surgery. It records the electrical activity of the heart and translates this into a waveform on a print out from the ECG machine. It demonstrates the heart rate and rhythm.
The test involves connecting your arms, legs and chest to many wires and recording the heart over about 30 seconds.

An ECG is an electrocardiogram. It's a very easy, pain free procedure. They put sensors on your chest and arms and after a few minutes it's all over.
