HI , MY MOTHER IS 62 AND HAS BEEN HAVING MENOPAUSE SIDE EFFETS FOR A LONGTIME OVER 20 YEARS, (HOT FLASHES, SWEATING) . SHE HAD A HYSTERECTOMY ABOUT 20 YEARS AGO. WHY IS THAT? THAT S ONE QUESTION BUT NOW SHE SHAKES ALOT FROM HER RIGHT HAND WITH EVERYTHING SHE DOES EXCEPT WHEN SHE IS WRITING WHAT CAN IT BE? CAN IT BE PARKINSONS?
Presentaion with excessive sweating and tremors are symptoms of Hyperthyroidism.please get her tests done..Tests are Thyroid profile,Lipid profile Blood sugar.tTremors in parkinsonism do not occur at rest that is when she will write there will be no tremors. So my disgnosis is HYPERTHYROIDISM? Get her investigated and confirm the diagnosis before proceding further .
