What Is Quetiapine Used For?
What is the drug calledquetiapine used for? My 91 yr. old mother has been prescribed this - it s 25 mg and she takes half of that in am and pm. She has dimentia and gets anxious and confused throughout the day. She gets very aggressive. Should there be an increase in this medication?

Quetiapine is an atypical anti-psychotic drug commonly prescribed schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Since this drug may take 2-4 weeks to get maximum benefits, it is started with the dose which can be increased gradually depending upon the response.
