What Is Rifadin Prescribed For?

i had positive skin test for TB when I was 10/11 yrs old. I am 64. I never had TB. My lungs show no signs of TB ever being there. Why does my Rheumatologist insist on my taking rifadin before I can take humira or enbrell? My PCP, tells me I don t need it. I am at a loss.
