What Is Susten Used For?

Sir , one of my known physician who is specialized in Gyno and when I visited him for consultation he asked me to take Susten SR 300 for few days and I don t understand what are it s use and for what purpose he has prescribed this capsule and how long I have to take it?

Thanks for asking. I have read your query &understand your concern
Sustain is a high dose progesterone preparation . It protects and helps growing pregnancy.. avoids abortion.
Usually it is prescribed in high risk pregnancy,precious pregnancy/repeated abortion or past history of abortion/bleeding in first 3 months of pregnancy which is usually due to deficient hormone
It is supplimented till pregnancy reaches 14 weeks &placenta is well developed to suply the progestrrone for fetal growth./In previous abortion the medicine is given till the risky days are covered.
So please follow the doctor's instructions &continue taking tull he advices.the drug is safe for pregnancy.
