Hello,

I can understand your concern. It seems that you have acquired a bacterial infection that is causing pain in the chin and in the ear. Cysts do not increase in size this fast and they are usually painless swellings.

I suggest that you should start treatment with antibiotics. You can take Cefixime 200 mg (Topcef) twice a day for 5 days. By the time this course finishes, the pain and swelling should subside. For relief in pain, you can take Acetaminophen 500 mg or Ibuprofen 400 mg up to thrice in a day.

However, if you do not feel relief after 5 days, I advise that you should see a physician or ENT specialist or Dentist for clinical examination of the swelling and further investigations along with the treatment.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
