What Is A Dark And Bleeding Mole On The Head Suggestive Of?

My son got a haircut and after complained that a mole on his head felt funny. When i looked at it, it has been cut and is bleeding. He has had the mole checked and it is not cancerous but it does look completely different now. Really dark compared 2 what it was b4. Should he go 2 a doctor or just let it heal?

Hello,

I read your message and understood your problem.

If you can send me picture of your son's mole it will be great because I need to evaluate myself what is it.

You son had a mole in his head which has been cut off. Cutting a mole accidentally after shaving or any other trauma is usually harmless.

But if the shape increases or if the color changes in a very short time after the trauma it is very important to seek medical attention as melanomas are very important to be detected early.

The dark color maybe is just blood due to the healing process.
