What Is A Neutrophilia Platelet Count Of 367 Indicative Of?
I think I need a new doctor. My rbc count is 3.10Hgb- NormalHct- 31.1Mvc- 101Mchc-- 44.8 Mch-- 45.1Polychromasia present.Wbc--13.9, with neutrophilia Playelets--367These are consistent over several months. Iron, ferritin, b12, folate said to be normal. Question being--what is this indicative of? What further testing should be done?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... Neurophilia is increased number of neutrophils ( a type of white blood cells ) in blood. Total white blood cells WBC are elevated. This most commonly occurs due to some recent bacterial infection in body. This could also act after some infarct such as heart attack, burn, injury etc. However prolonged Neutrophilia with increased number of immature cells should be thoroughly invested as it could be because of leukemia (blood cancer) Your Platelet count of 367 thousand is normal. Red blood cell count of 3.1 million is lower than normal. However this is not of much concern as your hemoglobin levels are normal. However your Red blood cell size(MCV) is enlared & is having more hemoglobin (MCH), this means there is presence of some immature Red blood cells.
Refer to your physician Hope this solves your query
