What Is A Red, Round Spot On The Arm Suggestive Of?
I have just noticed a 1/4 non-raised red spot on my arm that s round with no bumps, cracks, or other colors. I have some freckles and some skin tags, but this is different and possibly came on quickly. I am a swimmer - could it be cercarial dermatitis? I only have the one spot. I m a 56-year old female in good physical shape. I ve had moles removed before but all have been benign. I want to be sure this is not a cancerous growth of some sort.

It's probably tinea corporis or ringworm.
It can effectively be treated with Lamisil cream or ketoconazole cream, but since I can't examine you, have a doctor take a look at it
