What Is A Soft Lump Under The Right Jawline Suggestive Of?
I can feel a soft lump just under my right jawline. Its like jelly.I can touch it outside my skin and feel that its moving along my finger. Its not that painful.I can feel it specially when I lean my head downwards.Im afraid of this lump.I dont know why i can feel it
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of soft lump under the right jawline which is mainly due to stone in salivary gland duct, infection in tooth and enlarged lymph nodes.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe X-ray, CT scan to rule out other causes like lymph node or osteoma. It can be removed by digital palpation method on duct to expel stone. If things will not work go for surgical procedure. If it is due to infection in tooth you should get x-ray of that tooth done and start restorative procedure accordingly. Suck on sugar free candy and take artificial saliva substitutes. You should drink plenty of water.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
