What Is A Titer Test Done For?

five days back my father suffered with fever,and he use some fever tablates,yesterday we went to doctor,he wrote some tests,actually my father he is drink alcohol and cigrette and pan thats why doctors wrote some tests.but in this tests last one is tritor,test results is he has bp and Jaundice but last one he wrote something in that test .That is tritor is a screening test only,it has to beconfirmed by another comfirmetry test. what is that actually

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Titre tests are tests done to estimate the level of antibodies present in serum after antigenic stimulation.
There are a number of tests which involve titre estimation and it is difficult to imagine the test which your father has been prescribed.
However, fever can be due to enteric fever- typhoid fever for which Widal test can be done i.e. Widal test can be done.
If the antibody titre is above 1:80 enteric fever is confirmed.
