I had melanoma on my right ear. They cut it out and removed 3 lympnodes. One of those had a cancer cell. Now they want to perform a parotidectomy and remove all my nodes. They consequences of these surgery are horrible Is there a less invasive way to do this.
The only curative treatment for melanoma is surgery with negative margins. It is a very aggressive cancer and resistant to all forms of chemotherapy or radiotherapy. So, if by any surgical plan it is possible to take out the entire disease then you should undergo it without delay else it will soon spread and go beyond the scope of surgery. If you dont then it will be a life threatening situation for you and you will be beyond cure. Do not think about the side effects.
