What Is An Episode Of Uncontrolled Violent Shaking And Chills In Body Suggestive Of?
Last night I had one episode of uncontrolled violent shaking chills / rigors followed by fever of 101.4 I took Motrin and it went down to 99 after an hour and have had no fever chills or shakes all day. I have no other symptoms. No chest pain no congestion no cough no sneezing. Nothing. Only thing I did different last night was sleep on a new memory foam pillow with temperature control for the first time. I have no idea if it contains chemicals I reacted to or if it has nothing to do with what happened to me. I just have no idea what caused this episode and it was bad. I am totally fine today
The chills can be triggered by your fever or due to allergic reaction. These type of shaking is our body's response to maintain our body temperature. Usually if our body temperature is high, the body will try to maintain the temperature difference between your body and surrounding by contracting the muscles, which will produce heat.
In your case, better to have a Doctor consultation, since you have a very high fever that night.
Hope your query answered.
