Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Is An Itchy, Sore Pimple Under The Left Arm Suggestive Of?
My underarms itch and under my left underarm I have a small pea size pimple that is sore and then it went down in size and stopped hurting. A week or so another one came out and that is now down in size and today another one. This one also is tender, but small in size.. The itch is still there. I am a 70 years of age and female. Healthy I think, according to my Doctor, anyway.
I understand your concern but let me tell you that it is nothing to worry about. Its most probably a hair follicle infection. It is common in sweaty and diabetic people. I suggest you to keep the area clean and dry. Do not pinch them as it would be painful.
They would go within a week.
*drink lots of water at least 3.5 litres a day. *bathe twice if possible. * wear clean clothes, wash undergarments using antiseptics.
As you have not mentioned anything about the blood sugar status, I suggest you to get it done and you can get back to me. If its normal level then don't worry. You will be fine.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Best regards, Dr. Suhas Chauhan
