What Is An Odd Shaped Lump Between Thumb And Index Finger Suggestive Of?

This morning I found an odd shaped lump or knot down in the tissue between the rt. thumb and index finger. Feels like about the size of a dime. Don t know how long it s been there. Not painful and doesn t hinder any movement. Was getting concerned about the C tumor word. Does it sound like something I need to walk the floors at night for??? Or just watch for a while. Just concerned.
