Hi,

IT is known that athletes have tilted pelvis due to unknown reasons and cause a pressure on the sciatic nerve. The pressure makes the calf muscles to cramp and cry during activity. I am surprised by the fact that the MRI was normal. It is better to redo an MRI once again to totally rule out spinal causes of the calf pain.

Sural nerve entrapment is also seen in atheletes. Local muscle causes are to be looked into. Attend to treat your quadriceps, quadratus lumborum, the iliopsoas stretch, and then your calf muscles, I think you'll get relief.

Physio and sports medicine specialist should be of good help.
