What Is Causing The Pain In The Left Arm By My Bicep And Going Away Quickly?

Last night I got a sharp pain in my left arm by my bicep. It woke me up. About an hour later it happened again but went away just as quickly. Through out the day I have experienced lesser pain in the same area. About 10 days ago I experienced a sharp pain that started in the same place and seemed to run up my arm and then was gone. What is causing this pain and should I be concerned?

Hi there.
Your symptoms can be due to 2 reasons.
First and the more likely diagnosis is Biceps Tendinitis. It is inflammation of the attachment of biceps tendon near the shoulder.
For this kindly take some anti inflammatory medications along with ultrasonic heat therapy to the tender area. Also get a serum uric acid and complete blood count done.
Second and the rarer reason could be nerve impingement or radiculopathy.
Take tab pregalin and tab dulane regularly for that.
I hope my suggestions will be of help.
Good luck.
