Dear Sir /Madam, You are just going through a normal phase of progression of diabetes. First only diet and exercise would be enough. later you will need drugs like metformin and after some years tablets like glimipride, glipizide, gliclazide will be needed to bring out the insulin from pancreas. My opinion - This is the time you need to be in constant touch with your diabetologist. 1. check blood sugars frequently 2. preferably get a glucometer - Check Fbs, PPbs twice a week. 3.based on the sugar readings adjust your dose with the help of diabetologist 4.Get an urine examination done to rule out urinary tract infection. I am very confident that you will do well.. Dr.Riyaz Sheriff
