Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i am a 54 yr old woman. my bp is 120/90. i have mild hyperthyroidism and taking methimez 5 mg as recommended by my doctor. I have mild tremors of my right hand which increases considerably after exertion. My weight is 75 kg and my ht. is 5 ft. 2 . i have high cholesterol.
I undersnad your concern. Trmeor usually appears at people who suffer from hyperthyroidism. But, the tremor is usually on both sides. My suggestion is to visit a neurologist who will make an emng, a medical examination which examinate your nerves, in this case the nerves of your right hand. If something neurological is excluded than it is obviously connected with your thyroid problems.
I hope his answer was helpful to you.
