What Is Dizziness Post A Minor Head Injury Suggestive Of?

Hi, I hit my head pretty hard yesterday but felt alright so I didn t think I had a concussion. Now on the second day I get home from work and I start feeling dizzy. I also lightly bumped my head a couple times while at work. Should I be concerned about this? I also got a concussion last year around this time. Does that make it easier to get another one?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due head injury. For further assessment you may require MRI brain after neurologist consultation. Further treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition. Till then you can take tablet betahistine. Do blood pressure monitoring. Take proper rest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
