What Is Heterogeneous Myometrium?

what is heterogenous myometrium
I did myomectomy in December and still spotting. I was also feeling alot of back pain.I went back to the doctor and he sends me to do an ultrasound. The ultrasound came back showing that there is pelvic free fluid which can be a leaking cyst or PID

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

Normally uterus is homogeneous in echotexture.
It may be heterogeneous in echotexture due to fibroid, adenomyosis etc.
Since you had myomectomy earlier, present symptoms may be due to adenomyosis,PID etc.
You should consult your gynecologist.
Fluid in POD may be due to pelvic inflammation or rupture of ovarian cyst.It need clinical correlation and further investigations.
Hope I have answered your question.

Take Care
