I need help...in the 60's my uncle was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder and they called it Leukopenia, about 10 years ago he gave me the modern name for it and I can't remember what it is? Any idea? He passed away 2 years ago, I know Leukopenia describes low WBC count which is what he had due to the disease.

What Is Leukopenia Called Now?
Welcome to H.C.M. I am Dr Krishna Dubey. Its my pleasure to help you. Leukopenia is not actually a disease, rather it s a condition that increases the chances of getting affected by several diseases. The body tries to fight against infective organism with the help of leukocytes. The low white blood cells indicates a weakened immune system so the overall effect of leukopenia is an increased risk to infectious diseases. So i think you uncle died due to infection. Keep in touch.Always welcome for further query. Thanx.
