General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Anytime there is irregular bleeding, a pregnancy test is indicated.

If the pregnancy test is negative and the bleeding lasts more than 10 days you will need a gynecological visit to check for STDs (sexually transmitted diseases), a Pap test to check the cervix and also a transvaginal ultrasound to check the womb for any lesions.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
