What Is Meaning Of Minimal Pleural Effusion And Thickening In X-ray Result?
hi just got my xray result.. just want to ask this impression means? " consider minimal pleural effusion/thickening right. Right lateral decubitis view suggested for further evaluation as clinically warranted. pleurodiaphragm adhesion, left.. is this a bad result? im really curious,, thanks so much!
According to chest X-ray report there is blunting of right CP angle. It may be due to minimal pleural effusion(fluid) or pleural thickening. It should be confirmed by another chest X-ray taken in right lateral decubitus view.It can differentiate in between effusion and thickening. However, ultrasound of thorax is the investigation of choice to confirm minimal pleural effusion. It is not a serious finding at all. First of all findings should be confirmed and treat accordingly.
