Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i had an mri casue of a buzzing ear and they said i have mild cerebellar atrophy, otherwise the posterior fossa are normal,, im 49 and my mom had alzheimers,, should i be concerned,, my dr didnt say much at all about it except there is nothing wrong with your brain or ear...
Hi, If you are healthy otherwise means there is no past history of any neurological disease, then this is just senile changes in brain I.e. age related changes usually after the age of 50 to 60 years. So no need to worry about that. Now,Alzheimer's disease might run in families in 0.1 to 0.5% cases but it generally seen after 65 years of age. Your doctor didn't say anything to you because there is nothing to comment as it is completely normal with age.
