What Is My CT Scan Report Suggestive Of?

What does all of this mean? Suspected sarcoidosis. Technique: CT scan of the chest. IV contrast. Findings: Centrilobular micronodules in the right lung right upper lobe. Some nodularity is present along the fissure. Some similar nodularity is present in the superior segment of the right lower lobe. No dense consolidation. Images of the lungs are somewhat degraded by respiratory motion artifact. Mediastinal and hilar lymph node enlargement. Subcarinal adenopathy measuring 1.8 cm in the short axis. 1.6 cm hilar adenopathy. No pleural or pericardial effusion. The upper abdomen is unremarkable. No osseous lesions. Impression : 1. Pulmonary micronodules. Parenchymal sarcoidosis would be included in the differential diagnosis, as well as infectious bronchiolitis from atypical etiologies including atypical mycobacterium. If the patient will undergo imaging followup, followup CT scan with high-resolution technique is suggested. 2. Mediastinal and hilar adenopathy again which could be seen with a possible diagnosis of sarcoidosis. No visualized axillary or upper abdominal adenopathy.
