Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Our daughter had a CT scan for her ears due to hearing loss at the 4,000+ level. The CT scan results as follows: Right temporal bone: Mild mucosal thickening is seen in the middle ear cavity and right mastoid air cells. The sac spaces clear. Ossicles chain is intact. What does this mean?
The given report is not significant and does not shows any lesion or abnormalities related to the hearing problem. The cause for the hearing loss could be something internal. Consult an ENT specialist and evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
