Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My wife had an Hsg test a week ago. The report shows that Both fallopian tubes are not outlined despite repeated injection of contrast medium and intravenous hyoscine. Non visualization of the fallopian tubes ? spasms ?? Inadequate filling due to reflux. Normal uterine cavity. Conclusion!
The HSG in your case shows that your fallopian tubes are not intact. The contrast material injected does not go through the fallopian tubes and does not make them visible even though the doctor has tried to increase the amount of the material injected and also given you something to relax the tubes.
So, very likely you have a blockage of both tubes that, unfortunately, may hinder you from getting pregnant.
Your doctor may need to do further tests to determine the cause of this and if further treatment is needed.
I hope this gives some answers to your query. I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General and Family Physician
