Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just got results from MRI c3 c4 severe left foraminal stenosis with moderate facet arthropathy plus lateral uncovertebral joint hypertrophy. c6 c7 sever foraminal stenosis secondary to uncovertrbral joint hypertrophy and facet arthropathy---do I need surgery. I have already done physical therapy and epidurals?
Due to prolapse of the disc at c3-c4 level, the foramina from where spinal muscles leave, have become stenos-ed thus causing pinching and compression of nerves.
If your pain has not relieved in spite of pain killers, hot compress, epidurals and physical therapy and your day to day life is getting affected, you should go for decompression surgery.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
