Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello Doctor, Recently I have underwent complete health check up and all the reports were normal except the TMT test report, which say significant ST depression during 2nd and 3rd level, normalized in recovery. A positive TMT test result.
Please let me know what does this means and what will be next steps to follow.
Hello dear I understand your concern Your positive TMT result suggest induced ischemia. In higher activity your heart do not get oxygenated blood. There may be possibility of cardiac vascular disease. I advise you to undergo TMT with thallium isotope and CT angiography to rule out the coronary artery disease. If it will come negative then no concern is require. But if it positive for cardiovascular disease then specific treatment like cardiac angiography is require. Hope this may help you
Contact HCM for further health query Best regards Dr. Sagar
