What Is My Child S CBC Test Result Suggestive Of?

Hi im Jay.. i would like to ask about my son s CBC result.. his Segmenters(50-70) = 47 and Lymphocytes(20-40) = 49.. he got a fever for 2 days and went off after few paracetamol.. he s 4 yrs old.. can you tell me what would be the cause? i kinda worried.. thank you..

Even though complete blood count is not a specific test for any medical problem, its results can always guide on what could be the problem.From the results, there is a slight increase in lymphocytes count.The most probable cause of this is an infection(bacterial, viral or others). Other possible causes may include: leukemia and autoimmune disorders though less likely in his case given your description of symptoms.I will suggest you see the Doctor for further investigate.At his age, if neglected, the problem might get serious.
