Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Just had a colonoscopy. No polyps were found but did find this: Is this cancer possibly? How much to worry before lab comes in?? The total BBPS score equals 9. Findings: Areas of mucosa in the transverse colon and ascending colon had a subtle micro-modular appearance with decreased visible vascularity. Biopsies were taken with a cold forceps for histology. The exam was otherwise normal throughout the examined colon. Impression: - Mildly abnormal mucosa in the transverse colon and in the ascending colon of uncertain clinical significance. Biopsied. Recommendation: - Await pathology
A biopsy is not confirmative of malignancy. Don't worry. So please follow up with repeated colonoscopy scans. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
