What Is My Pap Smear Test Result Indicative Of?

I just got my Pap Smear report and it says that PREDOMINANCE OF COCCOBACILLI CONSISTENT WITH SHIFT IN VAGINAL FLORA. I dont know what does that mean and my gynecologist didn t bother to explain to me more than just high ph(stress hormones) level .. i been ovulating the past 5 days now and also had unprotected sex 6 days ago is it possible this means i should be expecting? and does the pap smear means my partner may have an infection of some sort?

Hi,
Normally there are lactobacilli in the vagina which maintain the pH of the vagina to reduce chances of infection.
Shift in vaginal flora means you have bacterial vaginitis.
You need to take treatment for this and also to your partner and avoid sex during treatment.
