General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the total cholesterol of 252 mg is moderately high cholesterol level and the Triglycerides of 50 mg / dL is normal. The variability among various reports conducted over a period of time is obvious due to varying physics, LDL receptor density at liver surface and other metabolic, endocrine changes in the body over time to time.

The HDL cholesterol is protective, while that of LDL is bad cholesterol meant for atherosclerotic and other devastating changes in the circulating blood vessels including coronary arteries and other major blood vessels. My guidelines at present:
- Consult your physician for needed therapy
- Regular aerobics and walking
- Exercises and YOGA
- Avoid stress and anxiety

- Keep body weight under control
- Diet management to avoid excess dairy fat, high cholesterol
- Control of blood sugar and blood pressure are equally important
- Discuss need of any anti lipid agent as low dose statin or others with your doctor during next scheduled appointment
- Strictly avoid smoking if consuming

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
