What Is My Ultrasound Report Of Kidney Suggestive Of?
hi what is this means for the ultrasound result of my kidney? Right kidney : normal in size measuring 10.6cm, there are multiple nonobstructind stones within the right kidney measuring u to 1,8cm,No findings f obstructive urolithiasis or right sided hydronephrosis. Left kidney : normal in size measuring 12.4 cm, there are few nonsobstructring stones within the left kidney. Tis are smaller in size compared to the right kidney measuring only up to 4mm but there is mild /moderate left sided hydrophrosis. No obstructing cause is identified. Is this serious illness of my kidney? how I can get rid of the stones in my kidneys?
Hi...You are having multiple small stones in both of your kidneys which has not affected your kidney function and is not obstructing the flow of urine. But if you neglect it the size and number of stones can increase and it can lead to complications such as infection, pain, haemorrhage, obstruction. So I would advise, 1.Drink plenty of water/oral fluids around 2-4litres/day. 2.meet an nephrology/urologist to know the cause for stones and treatment accordingly 3.Have ultrasound scan at regular interval.
