Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Dr. My ultrasound report shows liver size normal and shows diffuse increase in echo texture. No focal pathology is seen.there is no evidence of intrahepatic biliary dil attain.CBD and portal vein are normal.sir could you please let me know my condition is anything serious.please let me know as early as possible because iam very much concernd
Data like age, gender, purpose of doing ultrasound any medical problem not mentioned. The given ultrasound findings are suggestive of fatty liver which means you have extra fat in your liver. Although having fat in the liver is not normal, by itself it probably does not damage the liver.
I advise you to consult a doctor for further clinical evaluation and to carry out liver function tests to rule out any associated liver injury if any. Meanwhile stop consuming alcohol (if you do so), avoid smoking and fatty veg and non-veg foods, do regular exercise and eat healthy home cooked foods.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
