Hi, last 2014 The doctor diagnosed me that I have myoma and also have a retroverted uterus.. Done with the ultrasound and the impression was: Slightly increased retroverted uterus with myoma intramural left lateral Measuring 4.01x2.33x2.34 cm. right ovary contains a cystic anechoic structure measuring 2.26x1.79cm, Could be a cystic follicle.. What does it means? Please answer thank you
There is a small myoma( fibroid swelling in the uterine wall) and another cystic swelling in one of the ovaries.
Both are very small lesions and are benign (non-cancerous), if you are asymptomatic, only follow up is required. Consult a gynecologist and he will direct you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
