What Is My Ultrasound Result Suggestive Of?

Hi my lmp was 25th april. I got my ultrasound done on 17th may. As per doc I shud have been 7 weeks however the usg finding as below Uterus is bulky and shows a single well defined gestational sac( MSD= 1cm) with regular choridecidual rim Yolk sac is seen No abnormal adnexal mass is seen No free fluid is seen in pouch of Douglas Do definite fetal pole or cardiac activity seen Usg finding: early intrauterine gestational sac(5 weeks) Can u plz tell me if its okay for the usg to show 5 weeks rather than 7 weeks. Is everything normal ???

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Based on the ultrasound scan report, everything looks normal and it is stating that the pregnancy is 5 weeks at this stage.
In early phase of pregnancy, there might be a difference of about 1 to 2 weeks of gestation as calculated from LMP to that of ultrasound scan.
You need to undertake another scan after 2 to 3 weeks, during which fetal pole should be visible clearly along with appearance of cardiac activity, which will make sure pregnancy is viable.
Until then you need to wait without worrying and be on regular diet with normal regular activities.
