Respected Doc, My wife pregnancy is 12 weeks now. Last night we had a intercourse which lead to the bleeding from vagina of wife. We are so much worried about it. Next day we visited our gynecologist and she had u/s with result Enlarged Uterus containning an alive fetal in it corresponding to G age of 12 week CRL = 5.6 Cm No adnexal mass is seen No free fluid is noted in the cul de sac After seeing result doctor suggested Duphaston(dydrogesterone) for 30 days. I am worried is it safe to take it at this stage of pregnancy?
Hello! That k you for writing us here. Don't worry the little baby is alive and growing. The result says that the baby is 5.6 cm in length and there's no abnormal masses seen like abnormal growth or deformity. There is no free amniotic fluid and its well intact. The most likely cause of bleeding could be because of little injury in cervix. The medications are safe for pregnancy.
Best regards, Dr Gunjan
