What Is My Urine Test Report Suggestive Of?

Hello, my mother is 54 yrs old. Since saturday morning (24.12.2016) she was having burning sensation while urinating and also having strong urge to pee frequently. On that day she had norflox 500 tablet and cittal syrup thrice day.. upto certain extent she felt relieved but buring sensation was not completely stopped. Hence today we hv urine routine. Pus cells are occasional, reaction is acidic and epithelial cells 1-2 ,, protein , glucose absent. So is anything to worry? Can u suggest some medication for her. What could be the reason for urine infection

Hi,

The urinalysis report of your mother is absolutely normal. So nothing to worry much. Urinary tract infections typically occur when bacteria enter the urinary tract through the urethra and begin to multiply in the bladder. Especially when body defenses fail. Due to reduced immunity, bacteria may take hold and cause a full-blown infection in the urinary tract. The UTIs in women affect the bladder and urethra and because the female urethra is close to the vagina at times vaginal infection too lead to burning. If her problem persists then get her examined by a gynecologist for examination and vaginal swab testing. Take care!

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
