hi im 31 no children. Yesterday i had a hysteroscopy d&c and a polyp removal. I have got to wait 2 months b4 i c my consultant. I have been given a note saying i have polypoid endrometrium and a pro lapsed cervix and suitable for a vaginal hysterectomy . What is polypoid endrometrium and would that alone be why I i am suitable for a vaginal hysterectomy or is it because of the prolapse thankyou for your help.
Polyps are small growths and they appear in more numbers, they are the reasons for excessive bleeding. In addition prolapse is also evident. Feel that hysterectomy will be required.
dear
Endometrial polyps are overgrowths of the uterine lining. ?The mere
presence of polypoid overgrowths in the uterine cavity may (at least
theoretically) interfere with implantation and fertility.
It certainly appears that endometrial polyps (also called uterine
polyps) do interfere with the ability to conceive.
take care
thanks
