What Is Protruding Navel With Decreased Appetite Suggestive Of?
Hi I m a 54 year old male. And within the last 6 months my belly button has started to kind of stick out a little bit not all the way but just gradually. There s no pain involved although I kinda get really full when I eat anymore just a little bit and I am overweight
You may have umbilical hernia causing you the protrusion of the belly button. You may need an ultrasound to have it evaluated and finally diagnosed.
Obesity may be a cause but other causes such as fluid in the abdominal area, dialysis or previous abdominal surgeries can be the reason as well and checks are needed to make sure which is the exact cause and how to treat it.
I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
