Hi there. I am a 22 year old male. I am suffering from extreme acne which is highly unpleasant. last year I had consulted a doctor and he prescribed antioxidant pills, multi vitamin pills and betasone cream as a result my skin was as smooth as butter. Recently i had ran out of the pills and my skin was fine but when I consumed chicken, the acne flourished all over my face. It is very extreme and affects my confidence. Could you please tell me if I am allergic to chicken and also could you please suggest a permanent solution for this. Thank you.
Acne is due to adolescent hormones and you will continue to have it till that hormonal influence is over.
Wash your face with a pH balanced face wash, preferably a one containing 1-2% salicylic acid. You may apply a gel containing clindamycin 1% in the morning over pimples and Benzoyl peroxide 2.5% gel at night over pimple prone areas. Get these prescribed by your dermatologist.
Do not use any creams containing steorid( like betasone) as this will temporarily clear acne and later will make it worse.
Avoid creams on your face. Avoid oil on your scalp. Diet is important. Avoid milk and milk products like cheese, chocolates, sweets, sugary foods and drinks. Chicken is not related to acne.Eat a lot of fruits rich in vitamin A (anything with lot of color).
Hope this helped.
Take care.
