What Is The Appropriate Dosage Of Fenistil Given To Infants?

Hi doctor , I have infant of 04 months old. It is my doubt, i have given following dosage of Fenistill to my baby. is it make any adverse effect in my baby. 5.30 P.M - 06 Drops 11.00 PM- 06 Drops 11.10 P.M - 06 Drops. third dosage given by 11.10 was by mistake. Our doctor prescribed us 06 drops in 8 hrs.

As you mentioned that accidentally you infant has been given 12 drops at a time instead of 6 which was initially prescribed.

The dose at which fenistil can be given is about 10-30 drops total in a day which has to be divided 8 hrly, so at a time maximum 10 drops can be given.

Donot be anxious, your baby maybe a little more sleepy than usual if anything and you can wait till he/she is fully awake before you are giving the next dose 8 hrs later. Your baby shall be fine.

If you are excessively worried from your baby being more sleepy than usual then donot hesitate to go to the doctor.
