What Is The Average Dose Of Vyvnase Capsules For ADHD?

I have am a 55 year old woman with ADHD. I was taking 25 mg. of Adderall. I am going to a psychiatrist now who specializes in ADHD and he prescribed 60 mg. of Vyvanse capsule. I went back for a follow up visit today and I was prescribed 70 mg. of the Vyvanse capsule. I am just curious, what the average dose of Vyvanse time released capsule is for adults with ADHD.

In children it Is 2.5 mg per kg. But in adults there is no evidence that higher doses are beneficial. if you are not improved with 20 mg, it's unlikely higher doses might help. we have to think of alternative non pharmacological strategy depending on the symptom profile. I have given the evidence also. hope it's useful. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2670101/
