What Is The Best Contraceptive Method To Avoid Pregnancy?

I am on loestrin 24fe and i skipped my pill last sunday and then i had the sugar pills untill thursday (which i never take) then started my pill pack on thursday i had sex with my boyfried this morning and the condom broke i took my pill right after. should i be worried.. should i go and take the plan b pill?

Dear,

I have understood from your history that the pill you missed was last pill of the hormonal packet, otherwise you were taking the pills regularly. In such event, you need not worry. You are protected against the pregnancy. Then you have started the next pack also well in time. Just before started the pack, you had unprotected sex. Did you have menses before you started new pack? If so, I do not feel you have any issue for concern. You are protected by regular birth control pills. There is no need for additional plan B protection.

However, if you have missed the period, you have to get urine pregnancy test done 10 days after the missed period to find the pregnancy status.

Hence forward, please make it a point to take the missed pill immediately next morning in addition to the regular night pills. This should cover the missed pill.

Please do not miss more than 3 pills in the cycle lest the protection not guaranteed.

I hope you are relieved of the pregnancy stress now.
