What Is The Blister Looking Cyst On My Finger?

Hi my name is Dennis, I m writing because on my pinky finger I have a pus filled like cyst that looks like a blister. I popped it and a clear liquid was draining from it. It continues to fill with the pus and is very sore. Do you have any ideas? I have been to a dermatologist and she named a condition I can t recall, but she says older people get it. I m 51 years old.

Thanks for query,
You most probably is having paronychia which is an infection of the skin around a finger or toenail. it presents as painful, red swelling with pus around the nails...
Maintain a good hygiene and clean the affected finger with antiseptic like betadine lotion...
Apply topical antibiotic containing fusidic acid twice a day over the area affected...
Take an antibiotic course like augmentin 625 (only if non allergic) thrice a day for 5 days...
Take analgenic like tab aceclofenac twice a day with meals...
Hope you find it helpful
