Hi, last week I had a fasting lipid panel done. When I called the medical assistant for the results, she said I had borderline high cholesterol: Cholesterol (206), HDL (85), LDL (109), Triglycerides (62), Chol/HDL Ratio (2.4), and Non-HDL Cholesterol (121). When I spoke with my doctor about this earlier today, he said I had nothing to worry about because my cholesterol was normal. The high cholesterol total was due to my high HDL. But just about every medical website I look at says that a total cholesterol number 200 is borderline cholesterol. Is my doctor correct, or should I look for a second opinion? Thanks! - Andrea
