My daughter's lower lip has an unexplainable bruise that just seemed to appear. There was minor swelling that disappeared within 24hrs. It looks as if she was hit. There is a bruise is two places one is larger than the other, however it does seem to be healing.
This can be a minor salivary glandinjury.Mostly, mucocele of the lip.If this reappears, then you must see the dentist. Removal of the mucocele must be done if it re-appears.Do not panic. Best thing is to gargle with a strong solution of salt water. Take care to gently brush and eat not to hurt the area while chewing.
Regards.
