Hello, i went to shut my car boot 3 weeks ago, and in a hurry i banged the carboot onto my head. All felt ok, but now the area seems a bit tender and is a bit sensitive to hot and cold - should i be worried or could this merely be a bruised area and will take some time to heal?
Thanks

Any major Head injury signs will usually occur within 48 hrs. Signs being- loss of consciousness, vomiting, blurring of vision, giddiness, ear/nasal bleed, seizures etc. Now in your scenario- 1) its 3 weeks post with no major signs, very unlikely a major head injury. 2) the pain and tenderness is due to soft tissue injury (scalp) which will gradually subside. 3) sensitive to temperature may be due to injury to terminal nerve ending which is not very concerning factor and even this will eventually subside. 4) its just a soft tissue injury which ll subside gradually but if the wound is open it is better to take inj tetanus toxoid and take prcautions to prevent infection.
